Sky Skills Studio Trip
Last week we went on a trip to Sky Studios to have a go at filming and editing news clips.
We stood in front of a green screen and the editors added a background to make it look like we were reporting on location.
We were each given different roles/jobs to do to help create our clip. There were reporters, editors, directors, producers, script writers and camera operators.

Read our comments below about which job/role that we were given and what we enjoyed the most about our trip.

Quadblogging questions
Sorry that we have been a bit quiet but we have been on our half term break.
If you look at the comments below from Biggin Hill children they have told you a bit about themselves and have asked you some questions to answer.
Happy blogging!

The Horniman Museum.
To learn more about our current topic of The Americas, we went on visit to the Horniman Museum.
While we were there we got to look at real artefacts from Native America. We looked at shoes that would have been worn by people in the Plains and gloves worn by the Inuit people who lived in the colder areas around The Great Lakes.
A lot of us enjoyed trying on a replica of a Native American war bonnet.
We even got to look at real snow shoes which were worn by Native Americans and lots more interesting artefacts were passed around for us to look at.
This picture is actually made of sand and tells a Native American myth.
As we had some time to look around the rest of the museum we headed to the Natural History section which featured real animals which had been stuffed. We even had our photograph taken with the Walrus!
BHPS: What was your favourite part of the trip?
Quadbloggers: Have you been on any really good school trips?
Junior Citizens.
We went to a Junior Citizenship morning at nearby Oaklands School where we had talks from organisations who gave us advice about being good citizens.
Battersea Dogs Home, gave us advice about how to behave around dogs in parks.
The Red Cross taught us what to do if we ever found anyone unconscious and how to put them into the recovery position.
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) taught us about the dangers we may face at coastal areas and what to do if we ever found ourselves in trouble.
Finally the Police gave us advice about how we should behave on public transport and when we travel to and from secondary school.
We all enjoyed our morning and learnt a lot.

A new year of blogging!
Well we got our blogs underway last week and we were all very excited to create our own blog pages. Our own pages can be found further down on the right hand side, please take a look and give us some feedback. We wrote a little bit about ourselves and our school and also included some poems that we wrote about ourselves in the style of Paul Cookson's poem Coolscorin’matchwinnin’celebratin’striker. Here is the original:
