We were each given different roles/jobs to do to help create our clip. There were reporters, editors, directors, producers, script writers and camera operators.
We stood in front of a green screen and the editors added a background to make it look like we were reporting on location.
Read our comments below about which job/role that we were given and what we enjoyed the most about our trip.

ReplyDeletethey went on air it had a signature wall with all the celebrities signatures. What fun trips have you been on?
Hi Tom,
DeleteThat trip sounded like fun! :)
Earlier this year the grade 6s went to Soverign Hill. It`s a place where you get to dress like the people from the 17th centry. We dressed like the kids and had to go to on olden day school. It felt like you were back in time it was so fun! :)
From Abbey NGPS :)
Hi Tom,
DeleteGoing to a television studio must have really been fun! If I were to work at studio I would either want to be a host or the camera. To answer your question we went to Sovereign Hill for camp a little while ago. It’s located at Ballarat, Victoria, AUS. It’s really fun their because that’s where a gold rush once happened so it’s like stepping back in time since you can gold pan, the buildings are old fashioned, you could by the same sorts of things you could buy in those days and they also have people dressed up that look like miners. We also got to participate in a costume school and dress up as children in the gold rush would and we were in an old looking school on show to the public.
Hello and yes we did go to sky and it was awesome unfortunutly I'm in one picture but I look deranged my job was the scriptwriter but that was probaly the least intresting job even though its one of the most important I didn't do much besides write for a bit then got really bored even though the rest of it was really fun watching it all happen :D

Hi I'm Amber from BHPS.Going to sky was the best trip ever! In studio 4 I was the director and it was my resposibility to choose all of the costumes and make sure that everything went along as planned. The school trip has really inspired me to become a real Director when I am older.
ReplyDeleteHi Amber,
DeleteI can tell that had a heap of fun at Sky Skill Studio, and that it inspired you to be a director when you get older. Altogether how many studios were there and how many roles are there other than organising costumes?
From Jason (N.G.P.S)
Hi Jason It's Amber,
DeleteAt the Sky Skills studios there was 4 studios altogether. Theses are all of the different roles that we had:Director, producer, camera operator, script writer, eyewitness, editor, expert actor/actress,reporters,interviewers. So there were 9 different roles that we could play.

Hope you reply,
Laura NGPS
Hello BHPS students,
ReplyDeleteI would like to know what the best thing about SKY studios was. I would also like to know if you follow cricket and if so who is your favourite player
Hi BHPS,
ReplyDeletelooks like you guys had fun! I've never been in a TV studio before,so I've got some questions; how does a green screen work, and how long does it take to produce a complete video?
Please reply,
Roby NGPS
Hi Roby,
DeleteA green screen helps to make the background look brill usually it just helps you to complete the video which on average is 5:00 mins long sometimes there slightly shorter. Have you been on any cool trips lately? If you have I'd like to know where you'd been!
Gracie BHPS
Hi my name is Toby at BHPS. A green screen is something that connects up to a computer and on the computer you choose the setting what you want then the green screen projects is on to the camera. And it depends how long the video is a 5 minute video takes 25 minutes.
DeleteHi Roby. A green screen makes the background come up and on average it took us an hour and a half to make our 5 min video.
