Junior Citizens.
We went to a Junior Citizenship morning at nearby Oaklands School where we had talks from organisations who gave us advice about being good citizens.
Battersea Dogs Home, gave us advice about how to behave around dogs in parks.
The Red Cross taught us what to do if we ever found anyone unconscious and how to put them into the recovery position.
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) taught us about the dangers we may face at coastal areas and what to do if we ever found ourselves in trouble.
Finally the Police gave us advice about how we should behave on public transport and when we travel to and from secondary school.
We all enjoyed our morning and learnt a lot.
What was your favourite part of the morning.

DeleteHi it's me Nikita, my favourite part of the morning then was learning from the lady from battersea dogs and cats home. I liked it because I really like animals and it was really fun to learn about.
ReplyDeleteI have two favourite parts one of them was when they taught us about alchol and smoking. The other one was when we were taught about the recovery position.

DeleteHi this is Charlotte from 6G, BHPS, the best bit about that morning had to be when we got mugged! Although of course it wasn't real! It was something that proved you should keep your phones hidden away while you are walking around.

Hi I'm Sam from BHPS the junior citizen ship was fun and we learnt how to do CPR we don it on our partner.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite bit about junior citizienship was stroking a dog and learning how to come and be friendly to a dog and what dogs to approach or not to approach.

Hi I am Libbie my favourite thing about the junior citizienship was everything I loved the dog that was there.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of the Junior Citizenship was when actresses pretended to take our phones away and we went into a room and pretended it was a fake party with drink and cigarettes (pretend ones)an we learnt what was right and wrong in this situation.

Hi, Ben here, The Horniman museum trip was great because we got to see all these Native American artifacs. The Native American War headress was really heavy on your head.

ReplyDeleteHi I'm Amber from BHPS. The first activity i went to was the disco and that was my favourite!It was really fun and we learned a lot of things about peer preasure. I also enjoyed the battersea dogs home because I learned how to tell if a dog was scared angry or happy.

ReplyDeleteHi my my name is Megan and im from BHPS. I enjoyed the party part with the police women and the 2 girls that gave us alcohol I got a shot (but it wasn't real) and then the police women came in and tould us what not to do. FUN!!
ReplyDeleteDisco was so much fun it had many teachings.I am unable to do many but I am not liking the thought that anyone does many of these crazy innapropriate things.All of the other activites were thourally enjoyable and it ws a really good expierience to me. :) Gracie

ReplyDeleteHi this is Jessica Welsh, Junior Citizens was brilliant because now we know what to do if sombody is unconscious, drowning, being mugged and were to stand at a bus stop which is your hight and one step!

ReplyDeletehi lily the jouner siterson day was so fun lots of activitys to do to show us what dangers there are in the world we had a disco , we went to a bus stop and got mugged,we went to a nother bus stop were we leared what to do on a bus in diffrent places it was so fun
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Libbie it was a fun trip and we got to learn a new skill which for me was an editor. This involved doing final editing of the film we put together. It was not the best job, I would have liked to have been a camera person.
